Gerai Makan - Keropok Lekor Losong

'Lenning orrang dakpe gi ohh Lossongg bang...' that is what I've been told time and time again. Last week's Raya holidays was very much the same. The famous Losong street keropok lekor stalls has lost its lure....'dok ape seddak bangg....' was the reason...at least to most of the natives....for the outsiders or those 'balik kampung' types, they still packed the streets of Losong and go on frantic buys like twas the last day of kerepok lekor....

So what gives? What really happens to Losong's great institution? Is it really that bad? Than why are the tourists still thronged Losong? Different taste palettes between the locals and the tourists? Wahh...so many questions posed....damn bugger will answer it or not?

Are there any contenders? Okay this one I answer forst ah...., the answer is in five words with fourteen syllabus....wanna take a guest?

What?

Not sure ah?

No time ah?

What? Better things to do ah?

Ya la...no prize also....so okay....the answers to those questions are as follows, Seberang Takir, Kelulut and Pengkalan Penambang.

To be continued...pics also will be added...no worries....btw...Losong also got some great stalls..will input my personal findings later lor :)

Gerai Kaset - The Future Of Rok Kapak

Lets be honest, they're butt ugly....Rock & Roll never had it worse, never the 'pretty boy look'....these are 'the real McCoys'....the real bad boy of Rock from kampung....they're so bad that you might never knew their real name....or if they might still be alive (albeit quite a few survived as icons of the era), most have gone through the great abyss.....its just that 15 seconds of fame....it was a gone era....and for all it might worth...I dont wanna to re-live it again.....do you?

I dunno...but ball clenching leather pants is just not my cup o' tea. And those lip gloss and eye lashes, and those hair.....

Maybe if its a costume party....now that might be a different thing...instead of the usual 'Vampires & Ghouls' or 'Star Trek' theme....or even those Japanese Anime thingy....why not do a 'Rok Kapak' theme....

I never been to those horrendous costume parties...hated it....but the corporate sectors seemed to love it so much....so yuppie-esque right?

Might also be one of those upper middle class conformists events...and it don't just stop there....even secondary schools in KLs are embracing prom nights for form 5s.....and those Halloween...what ever happen to our very own Hantu Raya? if you're looking for fusion than what bout Hantu Askar Jepun? Hantu Keminih? And lets not forget the classics Toyol, Pochong, Hantu Tetek, Pontianak Gua Musang (its a movie...I know).

For the love of God, if we really wanna do it...why not do something which at least is identified and certified as one of our proud adopted cultures.....yeah folks, lets make 'Rok Kapak' costume parties as one of our very own unique modern celebrations....

Sofea Formerly Known of SYJ (After The Band's Manager Syed Yazid Jamalulail)... Lets Have A 'Sofea Look A Like' Contest Huh?

Let us dictate what is ours, and be the Proud Malaysian that we are. Let us tell our bosses, be it MNCs, GLCs or even the Public Office....and let us make it as our social responsibility - to ignite and promote our culture & way of life at every social events....lets do a Rok Kapak costume parties...and re-live the moment...

And this time around t'will be our turn to show those corporate nerds and no lifers what we Malaysians are made of...Wa Caya Lu!

to be continued.....

Gerai Sembang - Rice Blogger's Top 100 Malaysian Blogs

Listed below are the 100 Top Blogs In Malaysia compiled by Mr. Adi Wong of Rice Blogger, the ranking is based on statistics captured and tabulated by Alexa and Technorati blog search engine/traffic specialists.

Will be making a summary/review on Top Blogs....listed below are the first fifty....most of it are of course established personal bloggers.....with exception of a few blogs from well known politicians headed by the Head of Opposition himself Mr. Anwar Ibrahim at #7, Mr Lim Kit Siang at #14 and Mr Jeff Ooi at #19 and Kickdafella at #32.

Paul Tan, our very own pioneer blogger in automotive industry is at a commanding 4th, while home made revenue making blog specialist Atniz is at #6.

Photo blogging is of course one of 'more famous' genre in the blogosphere, a common interest most of the blogs share must be the generous sceneries and food appreciation....just shows how we Malaysians are a sentimental lot eh? And I dare say....how many of us have taken up photography because of blogging?!
